Born in
Bogotá, Colombia(1972). Studies in Architecture (1992-1997, Universidad Javeriana), Laws (1990-1991, Universidad de Los Andes), Sculpture I (1994, Universidad Nacional de Colombia) and Ceramics (1995, Taller C.Sicard) in
Bogotá. Dedicated to arts performance since 1996, alternating this activity with objects and architectural design.
The interpretation of places inhabited by human beings, and their relationship with nature have been a constant in my artistic exploration. A geometrical, as well as an architectural inspiration are always present in my works. By using a language based on a clean and simple composition and the handling of pure colors, I attempt to represent urban landscapes, aerial views, nature that becomes architecture, architecture that becomes nature. Abstractions of
rivers, seas, jungles, deserts, mountains and forests. My objective is to create images that are both aesthetic and poetic, which are able to generate in the spectator relaxing and joyful sensations, that can inspire for imagining and constructing a more sensible
environment.
